27 weeks along

Well a lot has been going on since our first blog entry and I promise to do a better job at updating! In the last few weeks our nursery furniture arrived, of course there was one minor issue with that. As the delivery guys were unpacking I noticed they brought the wrong glider, but thankfully my glider has just been left on the loading dock so several days later it arrived. We then ordered our mattress, who knew there were so many choices but I guess like everything else related to babies there are thousands of options. So if the little girl decides to make an early entry we will atleast have a place for her to sleep! Now the nursey still needs some decorations and we are going to add a chandelier so I will keep you all posted once complete. Here are a few pictures of the nursery so far  This is the correct glider with a sign that will hang above it. It reads:My Prince has come his name is Daddy!
Above is the crib and dresser/changing table. The rocking horse is on loan from my brother and sister and I think it is perfect for Baby Girl!

In addition to getting the nursery prepared Tim and I have also been busy enjoying our new bikes. Tim and I have been wanting bikes for a while and so as an early birthday gift I got Tim and I bikes. Our neighbor told us we were becoming the Brady Bunch family! When I told people at work I have been riding a bike they were all very concerned that I would hurt myself, but rest assured I am doing just fine. Although I must confess that baby girl is not always excited as she sometimes get squished! Here is a picture of me at 27 weeks getting ready for a bike ride, the belly has definitely grown!

Tim and I also continue to adjust to our new suburban lifestyle and even purchased a new SUV that should be arriving in the next few weeks. While I know Tim is struggling with trading his beloved Saab I really think he is going to love the "huge car" as he calls it. Riley will also have much more space to sprawl out on car trips with the expanding family.
Riley is not so sure of what to think about all this excitement!

Baby Girl Harcourt has also become increasingly active. She is either going to be a boxer or a soccer star and she sure does like to pummel me! It has been so much fun for both Tim and I to experience all this movement but I sure do wish she would settle down a little at night when I am trying to sleep!
I guess that is a quick overview and I know I am probably leaving out bunches but hey it's a start. We love you all and hope you enjoy!

It's about time!

So Tim and I finally decided to start this blog so everyone we love can keep up with us and Baby Girl Harcourt when she arrives. Many of our family and friends live states and even oceans apart and ask how we are doing and we want to let you know we are doing great. I hope this is a great way to keep everyone involved in our journey to be parents. We are very excited but I have to admit I am a bit nervous as well!
So to fill everyone in, I am now 24 weeks and 5 days pregnant, WOW, I can hardly believe it myself. Although my stomach is definitely the size of a soccer ball so there is no denying it! I have stayed busy with work, doctor's appointments, and the occasional shopping trip! Thus far I have had a really easy pregnancy for which I am grateful for. I am sure my parents would agree but I just don't handle discomfort all that well! In the last 4 weeks, Baby Girl has become increasingly active and she is really kicking...we must have a rising soccer star on our hands!
Tim and I have begun getting ready for her arrival (yes we are keeping her name a secret!) and recently enjoyed a visit from my mom. My mom was hugely helpful as she painted the nursery and really helped us get our house ready to receive our nursery furniture. We also got to do a little shopping and I always love that.
This week we received our furniture so things are beginning to look like a nursery now. I will be sure to post pictures this weekend of the started nursery and also my belly growth.
Well that is all for now, I suppose I should go get ready for work now. Again we hope you all enjoy this blog and we want to be sure and tell each one of you how special you are to Tim and I and Baby Girl Harcourt!
